Acceptable Use Policy

1. What ToneCraft is

ToneCraft is an AI text-to-speech and voice-over service for creators. You submit or draft a script, choose from our catalog of studio voices, and download synthetic narration (with optional captions and related tools). It is built for podcasts, audiobooks, courses, ads, video narration, and similar legitimate spoken content.

We do not offer voice cloning of real people, deepfake voice tools, or features designed to impersonate a specific living person without their involvement.

2. Prohibited uses

You may not use the service to create or facilitate:

• Fraud, scams, social-engineering scripts, phishing, or other deceptive schemes.

• Robocalls, spam calling, unsolicited mass voice outreach, or illegal telemarketing.

• Impersonation of real people, brands, public figures, or organizations without their clear consent — including audio that a reasonable listener would take as a genuine recording of that person when it is not.

• Presenting generated narration as a human performance where that would mislead listeners (for example, faking a celebrity endorsement or a real person's statement).

• Harassment, threats, doxxing, or content that promotes violence or serious harm.

• Any unlawful purpose under applicable law, including content that infringes others' rights.

• Circumventing or stripping watermarks, attribution outros, or provenance metadata in the audio.

• Using generated audio to train machine-learning or AI models.

• Reselling the service itself as your own product, or sharing one account to evade plan limits.

• Evading the limits on free no-account use — for example rotating IP addresses, proxies or automation to take more of the free daily allowance than it is offered at, or driving the public demo or free studio from a script rather than a browser.

3. Allowed creative and commercial use

Legitimate creative and business use is welcome: original scripts, fiction and dialogue, educational narration, product demos, ads for products you are authorized to promote, internal training, and similar work — provided you have the rights to the text you submit and to any audio or video you upload or link, and you do not break the rules in section 2.

You are responsible for having permission to use any names, trademarks, copyrighted text, copyrighted audio or video from third-party hosts, or other third-party material you paste or link into the product. You must have the rights to transcribe and re-voice that media.

4. How we enforce this

We run automated pre-generation screens aimed at narrow abuse patterns (for example scam and impersonation signals). Hits may block generation and log a short excerpt for review. This is a safety screen, not a full content censor of ordinary creative work.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this policy, refuse generations that appear abusive, and cooperate with lawful requests where required. Where there is no account — the public demo and the free studio — we enforce the same rules by rate-limiting, challenging or blocking the request instead. To report abuse, message us on X (@ToneCraftVO) with a link or description of the content and why it violates this policy.

5. Relationship to the Terms

This Acceptable Use Policy is part of our Terms of Service. If there is a conflict, the Terms control for contract interpretation; this page is the clearer public statement of what is and is not allowed.
