ToneCraft (tonecraftvo.com) is an AI voice-over and text-to-speech studio for long scripts. The free plan includes 25,000 characters a month; Creator is $7 a month for 300,000 characters (about 5.5 hours on standard voices); 26 standard voices work on every plan, plus 100 premium voices on paid plans at 4× credits, across 20 languages. Catalog voices only — no voice cloning. It also includes SRT captions, an AI script writer and transcription, and can turn a DRM-free book file into an audiobook.

Start a paragraph with a speaker label — like VESPER: — and assign each label a voice in the editor's cast panel. The whole scene renders as one seamless, level-matched track with a natural beat at every speaker turn. Label characters aren't charged, and unlabeled paragraphs use your default voice.

Yes. The AI script writer takes a topic, target length, tone and language, and returns a spoken narration script you can edit and send straight to the editor. Each script costs 2,000 characters against your monthly balance.

Yes. Upload audio or video, paste a public Google Drive, Dropbox, or direct media link, or import a VTT/TXT transcript. Clean the result, optionally translate it, then cast voices and generate a new voice-over from that script. For YouTube, download the file from YouTube Studio and upload it here. Transcribe delivers the audio and captions — it does not replace the video file. Video captions (/video-captions) can export an MP4 with burned-in captions and an optional replaced or mixed voice-over.

Yes. Upload a DRM-free book and review the chapters we find before anything is charged: rename, merge or split them, and leave out front and back matter such as the contents or index. Pick a catalog voice and every chapter is voiced in the background, so you can close the page. Download one M4B with chapter markers and cover art, which plays in BookPlayer, Smart AudioBook Player, Apple Books on Mac, VLC and most audiobook apps, or a ZIP of chapter MP3s. Building the M4B uses no characters; the voicing is charged per character like any voice-over, on every plan.

PDF (scanned pages included), EPUB, Word (DOCX), FB2, TXT, Markdown and HTML, up to 100 MB and DRM-free. The file itself is never uploaded: it is read in your browser, and only the chapter text you approve is stored. Scanned pages are the one exception: each is sent as an image to an AI model to read its text (free, up to 300 pages a day on paid plans and 50 on Free), and we don't store the image. A book can run up to 1,000,000 characters (about 18 hours) and 300 chapters, and the free plan's monthly allowance limits how long a book you can voice. Use it only for text you own, have permission to use, or that is in the public domain. The M4B plays in audiobook apps; it is not packaged for retail audiobook stores.

Every plan includes a monthly character allowance — roughly 900 characters per minute of speech. A 10-minute narration is about 9,000 characters. Regenerating an unchanged paragraph is free: we cache identical audio and never charge twice for the same text.

Plan characters reset each billing cycle. One-time top-up packs never expire — whatever you don't use carries over month after month.

Yes. The studio on our home page turns your own script into a finished voice-over — 5,000 free characters, no account and no card — and the MP3 is yours to download. It ends with a short spoken "ToneCraft" outro. A free account raises that to 25,000 characters a month and adds the editor, captions and multi-voice casting; paid plans remove the outro.

Payments, receipts and EU/global tax are handled by Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record. Creator and Channel start with a 14-day free trial (card required) and the full plan; cancel before it ends and you are not charged. Pro is billed from the first day. One trial per account — a returning subscriber is billed from day one. After that, upgrade, downgrade or cancel any time from your billing portal; cancellations keep your plan until the period ends. Unused free-plan characters are not added on top of a paid plan: the balance becomes that plan's allowance, plus any top-up characters you already bought.

Failed generations are refunded automatically — the characters go straight back to your balance, no support ticket needed. See our Refund Policy for money vs character rules.

You own what you generate — our speech provider assigns output rights to the generating account, and we pass them through to you in full, for your own podcasts, audiobooks, videos and courses. Free-tier audio includes a short spoken "ToneCraft" outro. One rule carries through from those terms: don't present generated narration as a human recording where that would mislead your listeners.
