Privacy Policy

What we collect

Your account email and sign-in identity (including Google sign-in if you use it); the scripts you submit and the audio, captions and generated scripts we produce for you; any audio or video you upload for transcription, together with the transcripts, captions and translations produced from it; usage records (character counts, plan, credit ledger); and basic product analytics tied to your account id.

Uploaded recordings are deleted on a short retention schedule after they have been transcribed. The transcript stays in your account until you delete it; the source recording does not.

How your content is used

Scripts are processed by a third-party speech service to generate your audio. When you use the editor's AI assist features (such as grammar fixes, rewrites, delivery direction and pronunciation suggestions), the script you are editing is also sent to a third-party AI model to produce that suggestion. Recordings you upload for transcription are sent to a third-party speech-to-text service, and — on paid plans — to a third-party AI model that listens to the recording alongside the draft transcript in order to correct speaker attribution, names and wording. All of these services run on paid API tiers, under terms that do not permit using submitted content to train their models. Where a service supports disabling provider-side storage of request content, we disable it.

Your content is never used to train models by us, never sold, and never shown to other users.

Generated files are stored privately and served only through short-lived signed links tied to your account.

Payments

When paid checkout is live, payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy as merchant of record. We never see or store your card details — we receive only subscription status, plan and billing identifiers needed to run your account.

Service providers

We use infrastructure and vendors to run the product (for example authentication and database hosting, speech generation, speech-to-text transcription, AI transcript correction, analytics, and payment processing when enabled). They process data only to provide their services to us, under their own terms and safeguards.

Cookies

We use cookies to keep you signed in and for our own product analytics. We also use Google Ads conversion measurement, which sets Google advertising cookies so that signups and purchases can be attributed to our ads — blocking those cookies in your browser does not affect any product feature. We never sell your personal data.

Visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland do not receive those advertising cookies at all: advertising consent is denied by default for those regions, so nothing is stored on the device for ads and there is no cookie banner to click.

Where your data is processed

Your data is processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate. Wherever it is handled, the protections described in this policy apply.

Moderation and abuse

Text that matches our narrow abuse screen (scam scripts, impersonation, threats) is blocked and a short excerpt is logged for review. Reported content is reviewed by the operator, and excerpts are kept only as long as needed to review the incident and prevent repeat abuse. See also our Acceptable Use Policy.

Retention and deletion

Deleting a voice-over removes its audio and captions from storage. Deleting your account removes your profile, content and files; ledger records required for accounting may be retained in anonymized form.

Your rights and how to reach us

You can request a copy of your data, a correction, or full deletion of your account at any time by emailing contact@tonecraftvo.com, or by messaging us on X (@ToneCraftVO). We confirm every request with the email on your account before acting on it.

Children and changes to this policy

The service is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data. If we make material changes to this policy we will announce them in-app or by email; the date above always reflects the current version.
