Narakeet alternative
Narakeet's pricing model is refreshingly plain: you buy minutes of finished audio in one-time packs, there is no subscription to cancel, and unused credits never expire. It also turns slide decks into narrated videos. If you voice a handful of files a year, or your narration lives inside presentations, that model suits you, and this page will not pretend otherwise.

172 charactersThe arithmetic changes when the scripts are long and keep coming. Every minute of a Hindi story, lesson or audiobook chapter is bought at the pack rate, and that rate only falls when you prepay for a bigger pack. A creator who publishes long narration every week ends up topping up again and again, and estimating each script's running time before buying the minutes to voice it.
Here the meter is a monthly character allowance, read off the script before you generate. Finished Hindi narration here averages about 691 characters a minute, so on standard voices the Creator plan covers about 7.2 hours of Hindi a month. The tables below put the cost per hour on both sides, each with its source and the date it was checked.
No signup needed: paste a script and hear the first 500 characters.

What the comparison means in practice
Priced by the script, not the clip
You know what a Hindi script costs from its character count before you press generate, instead of learning its running time afterwards.
Edits do not rebill the whole file
Change one paragraph of a long chapter and only that paragraph is voiced again; unchanged paragraphs come from cache at no charge.
One file, one narrator
A long script is voiced in parts and rejoined into one MP3 with SRT captions, read by the same voice from the first line to the last.
Premium voices when the read needs feeling
Premium Hindi voices on paid plans take emotional direction written into the script and use 4× credits, so their cost per hour is printed separately.
When Narakeet is the better choice
You voice a few files a year. Their packs are one-time purchases with no subscription and credits that never expire, so quiet months cost nothing.
Your narration goes onto slides. Narakeet turns PowerPoint and Markdown presentations into narrated videos, which is not offered here.
You need a language or accent outside our list. Their languages page lists more than a hundred languages and regional accents.
You want to pay in rupees, pounds or euros. Their pricing page takes INR, GBP and EUR as well as US dollars.
You can prepay for a very large block of audio. Their biggest published pack, 10,000 minutes for $500, works out to $3 an hour of finished audio.
Not offered here at any tier: presentation-to-video conversion, voice cloning.

Questions, answered
Is this cheaper than Narakeet for Hindi narration?
On standard voices, yes, by a wide margin per hour of finished Hindi, provided you use most of the monthly allowance, and the side-by-side table prints both figures with the date each was checked. Premium voices use more credits, which narrows the gap, and Narakeet's per-minute rate falls as its packs get larger, so compare the premium row against the pack size you would really buy. If you voice only now and then, its one-time packs can cost less.
What happens to minutes or characters I do not use?
Narakeet credits never expire, which is a genuine advantage for occasional work. Plan characters here reset each billing cycle, while one-time top-up packs never expire. If your output comes in bursts rather than every week, weigh that before choosing.
How do I estimate how long a Hindi script will run?
Count characters rather than words. Finished Hindi narration here averages about 691 characters a minute at normal speed (measured October 20, 2026), so a 10,000-character script runs roughly 14 minutes. The script length calculator in the tools section gives a quick estimate for any script.
What does Narakeet do that this does not?
It turns PowerPoint and Markdown presentations into narrated videos, sells audio by the minute with no subscription, takes payment in rupees, and lists a far larger catalogue of languages and accents. Those are real differences, and for slide-based work it is the better tool.
Can I move my Narakeet scripts across?
Yes, because a script is only text: paste it in and pick a voice. Settings and markup tied to their editor do not carry over, and any word you had tuned there is best pinned again with a pronunciation rule here.
